This was an attempt to make the Atari Lynx ComLynx wireless. The transceiver was based on I/R LEDs and could function at up to 3 meters distance if aimed correctly. Unfortunately the project was never completed.

There's been further discussion in the original thread about this project to resurrect the project and make it work over radio instead of I/R. So far it's still at the discussion level.
